Once you do some kind of edit please sign the page in the notes section.
Please avoid doing major edits to the work of other editors when they are talking about anything subjective. Editing the data about a spice is fine.
Please follow the styleguide featured in the Template.
All pages urls about a specific spice should be formatted as a [Genus species] name format.
For example Chinese Black Cardamom would be- spice.wesleyhicks.art/doku.php?id=amomum_costatum
This is so that on the page for a spice, there can never be confusion about what species we are talking about, regardless of common name.
We will sort out when multiple spices come from the same species later (chiles… Nutmeg & Mace)
Very likely chiles will need to not follow this formatting, which is fine, we will invent another format for them.
Please try to keep the writing highly detailed and very personal. The intention is to give some kind of context to these spices which are currently just a bunch of rare species that we have little experience with from our perspective. We should eventually have some recipes and some essays in the mix too, which will greatly add context.
Every page should have a notes section. This is the place where you put all the messy research as a 1)
This is where you will sign a page as edited by you. I'm gonna do it with either ~M or ~Mete,
and if the page has lots of stuff by more then one user note what parts you wrote. I wrote this whole page ~M
This is also where you gripe about stuff like how awful something is or how much you dont like a source but need it for reasons. (like the source is for a shitty homeopathic tincture)
